Solar Technology Innovation
• The LVSF project is supporting solar technology to replace kerosene lamps on fishing of small fish on Lake Victoria to improve energy efficiency, protection of environment and climate change mitigation. The project will support selected fishers from selected landing sites to acquire solar lamps
Support Women & Youth Groups
• The LVSF project is supporting selected women and youths groups to access solar drier technology for improved quality of small fish. The selected women and youths groups will receive solar dries, training to develop skills for innovative processed fish products, packaging and digital market information services, linkages to markets and required inputs.
eFisher Mobile App
• The LVSF project is introducing an eFisher, a mobile technology App to operationalize low cost electronic data collection, real time transmission, market intelligence, weather data, financial performance and analysis systems for fishers and boat owners.
